On May 15, supplement manufacturer Natura-Genics (Chino, CA) received a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certification from UL Solutions to ensure consistent nutraceutical manufacturing practices, compliant with CFR 111 and to demonstrate continuous improvements in GMP standards.
The company operates under licenses issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) and Kosher for the processing of organic raw materials, Natura-Genics said.
Natura-Genics was founded in 1995 and manufactures and distributes more than 200 supplements. Its portfolio includes comprehensive and unique combinations of nutritional compounds, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, herbal extracts and probiotics, the company stated.
Its products are distributed nationwide through health care professionals, health food stores and pharmacies, most of which serve Hispanic communities. All products feature bilingual labels in English and Spanish to facilitate communication across both market segments, Natura-Genics said.
Natura-Genics also offers contract manufacturing services to small and medium-sized businesses. These services include custom formulation, private labeling and packaging solutions. Products are available in a variety of formats including capsules, tablets, powders, soft gels and liquids.
Under the leadership of President Renzo J. Bustamante-Wendorff and Vice President Eric Baer, the company is developing strategic initiatives to expand distribution into mainstream health food stores for growing Hispanic populations.
“We are very pleased to receive our GMP certification. Thanks to the effort of all the personnel involved in the process, we can provide our clients assurance that the products manufactured by Natura-Genics utilizes industry’s best practices,” Bustamante-Wendorff said.
