Question: You have a background in track and field and have worked with Enterprise. How did that lead to your entrepreneurship with RevolutionaryFitness USA?
Answer: My journey into entrepreneurship was fueled by two key experiences: my time in track and field and my professional experience with Enterprise. As an athlete, I developed a deep understanding of the role that nutrition, fitness and mental focus play in achieving high performance. However, what really sparked my interest in entrepreneurship was working at Enterprise where I learned the importance of customer service, building relationships and managing business operations. These experiences laid the groundwork for RevolutionaryFitness USA, a company that merges my passion for fitness and wellness with the business acumen I gained in the corporate world. I wanted to create a business that addressed gaps I saw in the market while staying true to my personal values. RevolutionaryFitness USA became my way of addressing the inequities and challenges faced by our community, offering a path to empowerment and wellness.
Question: You have introduced Revolutionary Supplements and the brand New History. Please describe those businesses and what you have seen as lacking in the sports nutrition space.
Answer: Revolutionary Supplements was the brand we launched to immerse ourselves in the industry and understand how to create real change. Our goal was to elevate the hip-hop community through products that not only supported their physical performance but also reflected their culture and identity. We saw that the sports nutrition space often lacked authentic representation and products tailored to underserved communities, particularly in terms of cultural relevance.
New History, our latest brand, takes that mission a step further by focusing on holistic wellness, combining mental and physical performance. We believe that sports nutrition has been too focused on physicality alone, often overlooking the importance of mental clarity and cognitive function. New History addresses these gaps by creating innovative products that nurture both the mind and the body, ensuring that we serve the community with complete wellness solutions.
Question: The brand New History addresses your mission to provide targeted, high-quality nutritional support to underserved communities. Please discuss this and your plans for the brand.
Answer: New History is rooted in the mission to make high-quality nutrition accessible to underserved communities. Our goal is to not only provide exceptional products but also to drive real change through education and community engagement. We’re working on developing partnerships with local health organizations to bring our products and wellness initiatives directly to those who need them most. Through New History, our aim is to create a more inclusive approach to health and fitness, ensuring that every community has access to the tools necessary for their well-being. We plan to launch more activity-based events designed to highlight the importance of leading happy and healthy lives.
Question: Please discuss your personal nutrition, physical activity, and overall wellness goals and how they relate to your advocacy for accessibility and equity in health.
Answer: For me, wellness is a lifestyle that goes beyond just physical fitness. I focus on a balanced diet, regular physical activity and supplements that support both my body and mind. This personal philosophy aligns with New History’s mission of promoting accessibility and equity in health. My goal is to create a brand that makes wellness attainable for everyone, regardless of where they come from or what their financial situation is. I advocate for a holistic approach to health, one that encompasses both mental and physical well-being and is accessible to all.
Question: What’s next for New History?
Answer: Looking ahead, we are focused on expanding our product line with innovations that support holistic wellness, including mental and physical health. Beyond product development, we are committed to strengthening our community-based initiatives by partnering with organizations that share our mission. Our vision is for New History to lead a movement toward more inclusive wellness and where everyone can live a healthy, empowered life. We want to keep building a brand that makes an impact beyond just the products we sell—it’s about creating a legacy in the communities we serve.
