Illinois-based NOW has received one of the top national human resources awards for 2019, and a second honor for employee wellness programs, according to the company.
The National Association for Business Resources (NABR) selected NOW as one of the nation’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the Large Business category. This competition identifies and honors organizations that display a commitment to excellence in operations and employee enrichment that lead to increased productivity and financial performance. The program honored 540 national winning organizations from across the country out of 5,000 nominations. The national winning companies were assessed by an independent research firm which reviewed a number of key measures relative to other nationally recognized winners. This national program celebrates those companies that are making better business, creating richer lives and building a stronger community as a whole.

NOW was also chosen as one of the Nation’s Best and Brightest in Wellness, which honors companies that promote employee well-being, and worksite health and wellness. Company entries are examined statistically for quantitative and qualitative data. Each survey was scored on a point system based upon criteria to benchmark and improve wellness program effectiveness. They include outcomes, analysis, tracking, participation and incentives, benefits and programs, leadership, employee input, culture and environment.
This is the seventh consecutive year NOW has received national recognition as a Best and Brightest employer, and the third consecutive year being recognized for wellness.
“Each member of our team is vital to our success, and we endeavor to make sure they know how much they are appreciated,” said NOW CEO Jim Emme. “Perhaps now more than ever, providing quality employment in a healthy and safe environment is essential. This is something that is embedded in our company culture, and this independent recognition means a lot to us.”
