To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Wakunaga of America is launching a fresh new look for its flagship Kyolic Aged Garlic Extract (AGE) product line to meet the needs of today’s consumers, the company stated.
For the past half-century, Wakunaga of America has provided consumers with an odorless, organically grown, and clinically researched garlic extract supplement that has been shown to support optimal cardiovascular health, immune function and more, the company stated.
The new packaging design features a more modern look and clearly communicates each formula’s unique characteristics and benefits at a glance, according to the company. Extensive research was conducted with retailers and consumers, who provided input on what they consider essential information to include on product packaging. Elements of the new packaging include a prominent callout of the condition each formula is designed to target. It also emphasizes key attributes, letting consumers know that Aged Garlic Extract was developed by a doctor, has been clinically studied and is tested for quality. These factors ensure that the product adheres to the highest standards in the industry and are clearly stated for consumers.
Kyolic’s innovative label update also highlights a new corporate logo, a contemporary garlic icon, and a QR code that consumers can use to learn more about a specific product.
“Consumer demand for clear labeling served as the impetus for this complete packaging refresh of the Kyolic brand,” says Michael Modjeski, chief commercial officer. “The new labels provide a clear, clean and colorful way to better communicate our story and the product’s benefits to our customers.”
In addition to the new packaging, Wakunaga of America’s rebranding efforts include the introduction of a vegan-friendly version of its original AGE supplement. Kyolic AGE Cardiovascular, Vegan Formula 300, launches later this year, and contains the company’s proprietary Aged Garlic Extract without the inclusion of any non-vegan additives like whey or animal-sourced magnesium stearate.
