In 2024, Vitamin Angels (Goleta, CA) achieved a milestone year, reaching more than 74 million underserved pregnant women and children globally with essential nutrition. Domestically, the organization achieved its goal of reaching 500,000 underserved pregnant women with prenatal vitamins and minerals.

Vitamin Angels had several notable accomplishments in 2024.

Since 2013, Walgreens and Vitamin Angels have reach more than 450 million women and children worldwide with essential nutrition via donation of 1 percent of retail sales to Vitamin Angels. The free Prenatal Vitamin Program was also expanded to all 50 states plus Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Bayer and Vitamin Angels reached a partnership impacting more than 20 million pregnant women and their babies since 2020.

Vitamin Angels established Transforming Lives Through Nutrition, a consortium of nonprofits working to address malnutrition globally. It was funded by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Founding partners include Vitamin Angels, Helen Keller Intl and iDE.

In October 2024, Indonesia became one of the first countries to launch a national program providing multiple micronutrient supplements (MMS) to pregnant women. Vitamin Angels supported the transition with a multifaceted role in Indonesia since 2018 including research, guiding policy updates, program implementation, product delivery and technical advisory support.

Finally, Vitamin Angels began its Lives Saved Tool (LiST) developed by the Institute for International Programs at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The tool estimates health impact including improved birth outcomes, child lives saved, increased years in school and anemia prevention in pregnant women.
