Trace Minerals Launches “Trace Gives Back” Community Service Program

by Eric Munson | September 18, 2023

On September 15, Trace Minerals (Ogden, UT) announced the launch of its “Trace Gives Back” program.

Through the new initiative, Trace Minerals stated that it is committed to “improving people’s health and well-being by giving back to communities in need.”

Matt Kilts, the co-owner and CEO of Trace Minerals and Steve Reeves, the president of Trace International, traveled to Matabeleland in Zimbabwe for a two-week community service trip. Throughout the trip, both Kilts and Reeves assisted with numerous humanitarian projects.

The primary focus was to provide residents with access to clean water. Trace obtained a water well drill rig and provided access to the new water source, according to the company.

In addition to the water well, Trace also donated clothing and assisted at a local elementary school. The team installed a new playground set and solar roofing, initiated a monthly supplemental teacher allowance, began a student endowment fund and donated a motorcycle to a teacher without reliable transportation.

Kilts and Reeves also supplied residents with bottles of Trace’s ConcenTrace mineral drops, which is a mineral supplement made from 72 sustainably sourced ionic trace minerals.

“I want to thank our fearless leader, Matt Kilts, for making it possible to give back to the Matabeleland community so generously. An incredible start to our new ‘Trace Gives Back’ program, we are truly humbled by this experience,” said Reeves. “I look forward to participating in additional initiatives as we strive to make a positive impact on people around the world.”

According to the company, this is the first of many “Trace Gives Back” initiatives and the team will continue to build water wells, improve access to education and promote healthy lifestyles and remineralization.
