Quick-Take From StayHealthy’s Marge Roman

| March 4, 2022

Natural products industry

Vitamin Retailer reached out to Marge Roman, Manager of Stay Healthy! in Las Vegas (stayhealthylasvegas.com) for her quick thoughts about challenges at retail.

VR: From your perspective as a retailer, what are the industry’s challenges right now?

Roman: I think our biggest challenge is getting back the customers we lost to online shopping as COVID doesn’t seem to want to end.

Many people still don’t feel comfortable shopping and running errands with the regularity they used to.

I am hopeful that the new customers we gained will stick with the idea of strengthening and maintaining a healthy immune system and making better health a priority.

The supply chain and out-of-stock products is an ongoing challenge. Customers have a hard time understanding that certain things are simply not available.

I think it’s going to be a problem longer than we except and I hope it resolves in 2022. We are a small, independent retailer and try our best to get what our customers want or find an acceptable substitute.

No matter what comes next, we’ll keep trying to the best of our ability.
