NOW Foods Hosts First West Coast Retailer Conference

| August 27, 2014

NOW Foods recently hosted its first West Coast Retailer Conference in Sparks, NV, including a tour of its newest manufacturing and distribution facility. The conference also included sessions focused on education, networking, and product training.

Held at the Peppermill Hotel in Reno, the conference opened with Dan Richard, national sales manager, and Jim Emme, CEO, telling the story of NOW Foods.

“Bringing NOW’s retailer conference and the benefits it gives our customers to the West Coast was a true privilege for us,” said Emme. “We are so proud of our newest facility and we were pleased to get to share it with our customers, who took the time to immerse themselves in NOW for a few days and learn more about what makes our company so unique.”

Attendees were given a tour of NOW’s GMP-certified, state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution facility, including soft gel encapsulation. NOW officials Alexandra Kameda-Bacon, Amber Cerdasful and Neil Levin presented respectively throughout the conference along with Mark Blumenthal, founder of American Botanical Council, and Jeff Wright, owner of Wrights Nutrients.

John Gillespie of Sunrise Natural Foods (Roseville, CA) said the quality standards seen first hand were very important, giving retailers confidence in telling customers that what is on the label is 100 percent what is in the product. “The lectures were very informative, reassuring us about things we currently do and teaching us new ideas we can implement," said Gillespie. "We can't wait to pass the information along to our fellow employees and customers.”
