After four years, NeoCell and nonprofit group Vitamin Angels have raised money and awareness to help more than 1,200,000 children around the world. While partnered with Vitamin Angels, NeoCell has donated every fall for each product it ships during the months of October through December. The campaign has raised more than $320,000 since its inception.
Vitamin Angels reaches millions of children in over 50 countries with vitamin A, which is one of the five micronutrients used for growth and development, as well as providing prenatal vitamins, children’s multivitamins and deworming treatments.
According to a study in the Lancet, under nutrition is the underlying cause of 45 percent of all child deaths worldwide, more than a million innocent lives lost per year. Millions more will never reach their full physical or mental potential. Many of these children’s lives can be saved or their lives changed dramatically through improved nutrition.
“Being able to help more than a million children lead healthier, better lives is something that everyone at NeoCell is very proud of,” said Jessica Mulligan, NeoCell vice president of sales & marketing. “We consider it a privilege to work with Vitamin Angels and look forward to continuing our partnership in 2015.”
In addition, NeoCell has created neck tags for all products that promoted Vitamin Angels’ mission. It also helped raise money as part of Giving Tuesday and encouraged people to donate through the use of its #givingisbeautiful on social media.
“Our friends at NeoCell truly understand that ‘Giving is Beautiful’, said Howard Schiffer, president and founder of Vitamin Angels. “Their passion for our cause and the enthusiasm with which they give is remarkable.”
