GoMacro, a family-owned vegan nutrition bar company, has received Certified R.A.W. and Certified C.L.E.A.N. classification from Clean Food Certified for the company’s entire line of products. The new certifications establish the first internationally recognized definition of what constitutes “raw” and “clean” for packaged food products. Certified R.A.W. and Certified C.L.E.A.N. go beyond traditional organic and non-GMO classifications to encompass a deeper review of ingredient integrity that includes ethical food production, measuring levels of bio-available enzymes, nutritional density and minimal processing, according to the company.
GoMacro is among the first nationally distributed food brand to attain Certified R.A.W. and Certified C.L.E.A.N. classification for 100 percent of the company’s products. The certification provides a new gold standard to evaluate ingredient quality and integrity, the company stated.
“At GoMacro the basis for all our recipes have always been minimally processed plant-based ingredients that are as nutritionally dense as they are delicious,” said Jola Sonkin, co-founder and CEO of GoMacro, “We’re pleased to lead the natural food industry by attaining these new certifications for all our products and hope Certified R.A.W. and Certified C.L.E.A.N. creates clarity and easier choices for our customers.”
All GoMacro products will officially carry the Certified R.A.W. and Certified C.L.E.A.N. label beginning this month. Clean Food Certified is a project of International Center for Integrative Systems, a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization.
