Asia’s Probiotic Market Continues to Grow

Citing increased demand for probiotic products throughout Asia, UAS Labs is expanding its presence in India to meet the high demand in the Indian market for a probiotic supplier.

Recently, there has been a significant increase in interest among top pharmaceutical and nutraceutical companies in UAS Labs’ industry-leading probiotic products and services, reports UAS, noting that in order to meet this increased demand it established UAS Life Sciences Private Limited, based in Hyderabad.

“We are delighted to have officially established UAS Life Sciences Pvt Ltd in India,” said Kevin Mehring, UAS Labs’ president and CEO. “It will operate as not only a hub for our growing India-based business interests, but will also allow us to better serve our expanding Asian customer base. UAS looks forward to bringing more of our scientifically-based probiotic formulations to this dynamic market.”

UAS, founded in 1979, has hired Subramany Shasatry Kavuri to run operations in India. The field expert brings 28 years of international experience in sales and technical marketing to the the company, with years of research dedicated to probiotics. He joins Balaram Poduri, who has operated as UAS Labs’ vice president of operations in India for the last two years.
