PBS NewsHour’s Susan Dentzer to Speak at CRN Conference

| October 27, 2014

The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) announced that Susan Dentzer, analyst on Health, PBS NewsHour and senior policy adviser at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, will speak during the closing “Breakfast With…” session at The Conference: CRN’s Annual Symposium for the Dietary Supplement Industry, to be held Nov. 5–8 at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in Dana Point, CA.

Dentzer will provide expert analysis on the current state of health care, drawing on her extensive experience reporting on every public and private health care trend in recent memory to present a complete and concise picture of where we’ve been, where we are headed and the role of the dietary supplement and functional food industry in today’s landscape, reported CRN.

Steve Mister, president and CEO, CRN, said the association is excited to have Dentzer for the final session at The Conference, where, over breakfast, attendees will hear a provocative and forward-looking discussion of the current state of health care with insights they can take home and make a difference with.

“We know there are health benefits and cost savings from dietary supplements that are yet to be realized by many U.S. populations at risk for disease, especially among those over 55 years old," said Mister. "The dietary supplement industry has so much to offer and Ms. Dentzer will help spark ideas for potential opportunities.”

“Breakfast With…” session on the morning of Nov. 8 closes The Conference after two full days of sessions. In addition to The Conference, CRN is presenting "The Workshop: CRN’s Day of Science", an all-day symposium on Nov. 5 prior to The Conference.

Four flexible registration options spanning both events are available at www.crnusa.org/2014events.
