Healthy Talk, hosted by Michael A. Smith, MD, senior health scientist for Life Extension, and heard on RadioMD.com, has moved from its live weekly Thursday afternoon time slot to a one-hour daily show effective February 2, 2015, from 11 a.m. to noon EST. Healthy Talk will feature a surprise guest for a 10-minute segment during each episode, Monday through Thursday, as well as health news, information and comments. In addition, listeners are able to call-in and send emails, which will be taken daily by Smith. The show is billed as the online “talking” health information resource for consumers and provides important health and wellness content in a conversational, spoken-word format.

Widely known as “Dr. Mike”, Smith is an integrative physician who takes pride in updating listeners about the health industry. The show allows listeners to talk with experts in the industry, as well as giving Smith the opportunity to address complex medical topics for the average listener to understand, which has increasingly gained followers interested in anti-aging and disease prevention. He has been called “the country doctor with a city education.”

“I was taught that learning is the beginning of health,” said Smith. “And learning something new is what my show is all about. My job is to focus on my listeners and engage them in conversation, while helping them apply what they learn in their daily lives.”
