Platinum Program

Utah-based Genysis Brand Solutions announced that is it the first company to join the Platinum Program, the best practices-based, liability insurance program, offered by Chicago-based wholesale insurance broker RT Specialty, in collaboration with the United Natural Products Alliance (UNPA).

“After applying to the Platinum Program, Genysis has highly anticipated its launch not only for the benefit it will bring to our company and clients, but for the high standard it holds the industry to as a whole. As we’ve strived to achieve a standard of excellence as an organization regarding quality and innovation, we’re thrilled to be part of a program that will be available to other health and wellness companies with like-minded goals,” said Jeff Reynolds, CEO, Genysis Brand Solutions and Genysis Labs.

The program is available to companies like Genysis and based on four best-practice principles, the company explained. These include, insurance risk management, dietary supplement industry organizational, regulatory, compliance and analytical standard operating procedures, external third-party certification(s) and oversight of social media and internet operations.

According to Senior Vice President, National Life Science Practice, RT Specialty, Michael Garofalo, over the last few years, “RT Specialty and UNPA have consulted with industry and insurance thought leaders to define and deliver this innovative insurance program designed to advance the quality of the dietary supplement industry.”
