EcoVessel, a Colorado-based manufacturer of eco-friendly reusable drinkware, announced that as of Oct. 1, it is a member of 1% for the Planet. Through this partnership, EcoVessel pledges to donate 1 percent of all sales to support environmentally focused nonprofit organizations around the globe.
This partnership is a natural fit for the brand who, since its inception, have been on a mission to reduce single-use plastics worldwide. This partnership allows it to advance its mission by connecting with the 1% for the Planet’s organizations and partners all working towards a single cause of bettering the planet.
“We are constantly looking for ways that we can do more to give back and help the planet,” said founder and CEO of EcoVessel, Jon Fox. “1% for the Planet embodies everything we are looking for in an environmental partner. We couldn’t be more proud than to be a part of their mission and their cause. This is just one step closer toward helping create a better world.”
“Our member companies have donated more than $200 million to our environmental nonprofit partners to date. Currently, only 3 percent of total philanthropy goes to the environment, and only 3 percent of that comes from businesses. The planet needs bigger support than this, and our growing network of member businesses is doing its valuable part to increase giving and support on the ground outcomes. Our members lead with purpose and commitment, characteristics that consumers support. We’re excited to welcome EcoVessel to our global network,” said Kate Williams, CEO of 1% for the Planet.
EcoVessel donates 5 percent of all online to a customer choice of four different environmental nonprofits. These include Water For People, Surfrider, Protect Our Winters, and Leave No Trace.
