Hyperbiotics Donation Enables Completion of a New Health Clinic in Bali

by Nicholas Saraceno | September 19, 2016

Nevada-based probiotics company, Hyperbiotics, completed its Dollar for Dollar Challenge Grant to help Bumi Sehat complete its new health clinic in Bali, Indonesia, enabling the nonprofit to expand services to approximately 1,500 gentle births per year. With the support of Earth Company, the Search Foundation, Anna Beck Jewelry, Michael Franti, Christy Turlington Burns’ Every Mother Counts, Ali Landry’s Favored.by and numerous individuals, Hyperbiotics was able to surpass its goal of raising $150,000 for Bumi Sehat’s life-saving work.

Celebrated midwife and 2011 CNN Hero of the year, Robin Lim is the executive director of Bumi Sehat Foundation International. As Lim explained, “Hyperbiotics and everyone who generously donated to the Challenge Drive has helped us finish the construction of our new Bumi Sehat Bali clinic. We thank you for sharing this vision of health care as a human right, and for trusting us to continue to do good work. Team Bumi Sehat promises to hold your hearts as we provide respectful and skilled care to thousands of mothers, babies, and families each year.”

Bumi Sehat Foundation International provides free prenatal care, childbirth services, and health care to women and children in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Nepal. This internationally renowned nonprofit’s work has delivered thousands of babies and saved hundreds of lives of poor, medically-disenfranchised women and children.Hyperbiotics Logo (PRNewsFoto/Hyperbiotics)

“This fundraiser has helped build a sense of community, bridging individuals, nonprofits, and companies for one cause: to support Robin Lim and the life-changing work at Bumi Sehat,” stated Jamie Morea, co-founder of Hyperbiotics.

As the Dollar for Dollar Challenge Drive concluded on August 31, 2016, individual donors had contributed $78,277 which secured the $75,000 in matching funds from Hyperbiotics for a total of $153,277.

“We are honored to help build a clinic that will give more than 1,500 children per year in Bali a safe and healthy passage into this world and offer critical medical care to families in need,” added Morea. “We believe that individually we are powerful beyond measure and that together, we can change our planet for the better.”
